I'm Adam, and I'm a conservative running for Lebanon City Council.
I have grown up in Southwest Ohio, and now with my wife Amanda and three children, Rachael, Alexander, and Felicity, proudly call Lebanon our home. We built our first house here and cannot imagine living anywhere else. I hope to strengthen the city’s conservative leadership by revitalizing and expanding downtown, improving accountability and efficiency in government, and reducing the tax burden on the citizens of Lebanon.
After graduating from St. Xavier High School, I attended the University of Notre Dame to study mechanical engineering and political science. I graduated from Notre Dame’s Engineering Honors Program, which included a thesis on my research modeling brain material for use by the United States Army to protect our soldiers from shrapnel and concussions caused by IEDs. My engineering work included time at Procter & Gamble’s diaper division, as well as research and development as a civilian for the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program.
I returned to Notre Dame for my law degree and have since practiced as a small business and patent attorney, helping inventors, innovators, and entrepreneurs remove the legal red tape standing between them and realizing their business success. I am now a partner at Dearie, Fischer & Mathews here in Lebanon, with my office located downtown on Warren Street. As a small business attorney and a small firm partner, I have seen firsthand how regulations can hinder growth and success. On city council, I would do my part to make it easier for businesses to achieve and grow, helping the community around them.
This area has blessed me with numerous opportunities to act upon my beliefs while serving my community. I have been able to help the unborn by serving as Chairman of Elizabeth’s New Life Center, a network of pro-life women’s centers throughout Southwest Ohio. Through my membership with the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce and as a the Vice Chair of Main Street Lebanon, I have been able to support the revitalization of Lebanon and its businesses. I have been a member of the Lebanon Parks & Recreation Board, a junior high football coach, and a District Chair for the Boy Scouts. These experiences have each allowed me to help build a future of integrity with a love of disciplined work and the great outdoors. I am a member of the Federalist Society, Lebanon Kiwanis, and the Ohio Farm Bureau. Perhaps most importantly, I have been able to serve my parish as a member of the St. Francis de Sales pastoral council to bring families to Christ.
I believe in Lebanon as a shining example of a city that stays true to its heritage while welcoming growth and innovation. I have been blessed to live here and share in this community. It would be a great honor to represent you as a city councilman.
